I am already a Diamond Club member; can I earn miles on bmibaby now?

Yes, as a Diamond Club member you will be able to earn destinations miles on bmibaby flights booked on or after 17 May 2007. All bmibaby fares will qualify for miles earning – the only exception is award flights which do not qualify.

What kinds of miles will I earn on bmibaby flights?

You will be able to earn destinations miles on bmibaby operated flights. These are the miles you can spend on rewards and treats for yourself.
bmibaby flights will not qualify for membership status miles. Status miles move you through the Diamond Club status levels (Blue / Blue Plus / Silver / Gold). Membership status miles are only earned on Star Alliance member airlines, and bmibaby is not a member of Star Alliance.

What do I have to do to earn miles on bmibaby flights?

Simply make your booking at bmibaby.com and quote your Diamond Club membership number as part of the booking process. Your destinations miles will automatically be added to your Diamond Club account once you have flown.

Do I earn miles on the total cost I pay for my flight?

You will earn destinations miles based on the fare paid for each one way flight and the applicable taxes. This value clearly shows on your email confirmation, separate to any additional amounts. Any additional items such as bmibaby lounge access, additional baggage allowance, seat selection charges and credit card fees are excluded from miles earning.

How many miles will I earn?

You’ll earn destinations miles according to the cost of your bmibaby flight (including taxes but excluding additionals such as lounge access, seat assignment, insurance etc), to the following amounts for each one way fare:

How long will it take for miles to go on my account?

Miles should show on your account within days of your flight. However, please allow up to 28 days, as with partner flights there can be occasional technical issues that cause a slight delay.

How do I claim for any missing miles?

Please allow up to 28 days from your date of travel for miles to appear on your account. You can claim for missing miles by signing into your online Diamond Club account and going to the ‘claim missing miles’ area. This includes a form you can complete online with all your flight details.

We will then need you to send us your email confirmation (to Diamond Club programme - PO Box 5050, Annesley, Nottingham, NG15 0DL) showing the value you paid for your flights so that the correct number of miles can be added. The number of miles for a return flight will be calculated based on the total flight cost (including taxes and charges), divided by two to give a price per single flight value.

Do I get any additional benefits for example lounge access, priority seating, additional baggage?

The partnership with bmibaby is a pure miles based relationship, therefore the above additional benefits do NOT apply to Diamond Club members travelling on bmibaby operated flights.

Am I entitled to complimentary food inflight?

bmibaby does not offer complimentary food inflight.

As an existing silver/gold Diamond Club member, will I receive a monthly loyalty bonus for my bmibaby flights?

Yes, bmibaby flights will qualify for the monthly loyalty bonus that Diamond Club Gold and Silver card members receive.

Who can I speak to if I am unable to book my chosen reward flight on bmibaby, but they are still selling seats?

All award enquiries are handled by the Diamond Club call centre on 0844 8480808 who will do their utmost to accommodate you on your chosen flights, or offer (where possible) a reasonable alternative. In an effort to obtain seats for our members, we do ask that peak periods such as Bank Holidays, school holidays and weekends are avoided, and that alternative dates in addition to preferred dates are considered, where offered. Additionally certain periods and flights can be embargoed for the purpose of flight awards.
