Cheap flights to Bordeaux, France

Book a cheap flight to Bordeaux, a port city in the southwest of France. Settled since the time of the Neanderthal, whose cave etchings still attract people to settlements north of the city, Bordeaux is a stately and ancient city, home to great art, good food, and – above all – sensational wine. Just say its name and you can’t help but think of the rich-red claret that this west French region is famous for. The city remains the main hub for tourists getting to and from the wineries of the Gironde region, and home to the world’s largest wine fair – Vinexpo (www.vinexpo.com) – held yearly in June. But this isn’t the only reason to pay a visit: the city centre was granted UNESCO World Heritage status in 2005 for its glorious architecture. And there’s a burgeoning nightlife, too, in the numerous pubs, clubs and nightclubs that cater for a big student population and young, trendy Bordelais.

If the wine and fantastic architecture aren’t enough to tempt you, take a flight to Bordeaux for the shopping! It’s all about the luxury in this French city, from Hermes, Louis Vuitton, and Hugo Boss, designer boutiques are in abundance. For popular high street labels there’s a large department store right in the city centre and many pedestrianized streets to wander down for window shopping.

We offer cheap flights to Bordeaux from Manchester once a week.
